Add L-Lysine to your diet. The virus that causes cold sores thrives on and hides in a protein in our bodies called L-Arginine. This protein is abundant in nuts and seeds and a variety of other foods. L-Lysine, on the other hand, is a protein that cold sores do not thrive on or hide in, found abundantly in fish. The secret to preventing cold sores is to increase foods containing L-Lysine and reduce intake of foods that contain L-Arginine. The following link is a food chart listing quantities of L-Arginine and L-Lysine. By eating foods higher in L-Lysine, you should be able to keep those cold sores from appearing. http://www.traditionaloven.com/tutorials/l-lysine_amino_acid.html Lavender 08/03/2011

I also added it to sea salt and sprinkled it over a roaster chicken. My next experiment will be to sprinkle it into french toast batter. Flint Farmers Market 07/08/2011

The BioMat is a “pad” which lies on top of your home mattress. It converts electricity through a computerized control panel into Far Infrared Rays (FIR), nature’s invisible light. FIR was discovered by NASA to be the safest, most beneficial light wave. This reduces swelling, increases blood flow and has been shown to destroy cancer and viral cells without harming surrounding healthy cells. It penetrates 6-8 inches into the innermost recesses of the body, stimulating healing and regeneration of nerves and muscle tissue layers. The BioMat also produces Negative Ions. This accelerates and deepens all healing and cleansing processes. It balances pH by decreasing acidity. Negative Ions help to alleviate allergies, migraines and sinus problems. It is known to be a powerful detoxifier, assisting in releasing its user from addictions such as alcohol, food and substance abuse, as well as hangovers and toxic residues. It also produces naturally occurring far infrared waves. lotion recipe 12/18/2010
